Home4U
There has been a project working with asylum seekers at Trinity Church for a while now, and they have a house where asylum seekers can be accommodated – currently an Iranian and a Zimbabwean are being housed. The project needs £600 a month to keep it going. Could your church give from its Benevolent Fund towards this project?

Mission Partners
Paul and Christine Salaman whose parents are in our circuit are currently working with CMS in Tanzania. Our thoughts and prayers are with them following their enlightening service on 10th April 2011.
Cyncoed Methodist Church has started forming links with a project in Zimbabwe and were pleased to welcome speakers from Action for Children in March 2011 when this new initiative was launched.
World Mission Fund
The world Mission Fund had supported the church in Haiti, after the earthquake, by paying for a minister and for teachers in church schools.
We are holding an act of Worship on 15th May at Cyncoed Methodist Church in order to promote the work of the World Mission Fund and the theme of “Seeds of Change”. This act of worship will also dedicate the monetary gifts to the World Mission Funds given through the Easter Offering Envelopes.

St Andrews have supported a project to build a toilet for a Primary School in Uganda (Christmas 2010)
A toilet, even a glittery decorated toilet on its own specially crafted trolley, is not your usual Christmas decoration for a church. At St Andrew’s in Cardiff it certainly raised eyebrows and smiles as the novelty collecting box was introduced to the congregation by two angels during the nativity service.
Seriously, this is serious business and vital for health and education. Soon other children will have clean school toilets and a place to wash hands. All the nativity cast are flushed with their success in launching the Junior Church Advent appeal which is for a primary school toilet block in Uganda. Although the support for this MRDF project, which provides water and sanitation for vulnerable people, will continue for 2 years already £770 or 30% of our target has already been ‘thrown down the drain’.
